Home / Apply / Application Process

Our application process is intended for first-time applicants only. If your organization has previously been awarded a grant from the Change Happens Foundation, please visit our Current & Past Grantees page. If you previously submitted a Letter of Inquiry, and it was declined, you may contact us for further consideration.

Step One: Eligibility

Review our eligibility requirements to determine whether or not your program meets the the Change Happens Foundation's eligibility criteria. Organizations whose projects do not meet our eligibility requirements should visit the Foundation Center, which provides a searchable database nonprofits can use to develop funding leads.

Step Two: Letter of Inquiry

For grantseekers who meet our eligibility requirements, the application process begins with a Letter of Inquiry. The Letter of Inquiry is required to determine whether the Change Happens Foundation’s current interests and budget allow consideration of the grantseeker’s request. We ask that all applicants complete and submit our online Letter of Inquiry providing basic organizational and project information.

Step Three: Proposal

If your Letter of Inquiry is favorably reviewed and accepted for further consideration, you will be asked to submit a formal grant proposal. Please do not submit a proposal without an invitation to apply. The Foundation will not review unsolicited grant proposals.
